So I am having a little contest. It will start today. All you have to do is leave a comment on what you do with your scraps! Weather it is fabric, paper or any other hobby that has scraps.
I will leave this open for one week. Everyone that post a comment will be put into my drawing for a fun prize! I will hold the drawing on September 1st! So lets hear those ideas!

The scrap pieces that I have left over from a quilt front I put them all together and I make it into a tote bag. This makes it an instant gift bag. Now you have two gifts in one. My latest quilt top had 6 left over blocks instead of my usual 4. So for this one I am make tote bag that converts into a pillow shame. That make three gifts in one. Yeah no more scraps :^)
I use left over pieces of binding and sew them together to bind scrap quilts. I also use scraps instead of ribbon on gifts.
I cut my scrap fabric into 2 1/2 inch strips and use one of the new quilt patterns for strips and make a new quilt out of fabric I already have. I have a friend who does paper piecing and she loves all those little scraps that I use to throw away.
Hi! I usually cut my leftovers into 2" or 1 1/2" strips and store them in a dresser drawer. I've made a number of quilts from these scraps yet the drawer always seems full! The scraps must breed!
