The only thing I finished this week was a clothesline bowl. I made mine kind of big. I used 99 yards of clothes line and 1 1/2 yards of fabric. It is 5" deep and 12" across the base. I have also started the quilt for Scott's roommate. I was hoping to have the top and back finished this weekend, it isn't looking good though. I haven't been able to sew since Thursday.

I don't know when I will be able to sew again. I am hoping after Wednesday. I am having to clean out the garage for my Mom Cave. I am getting a new to me Pool Table and BowFlex this week and need room for them.

My goal is to have 20 yards Total Busted by next week though. Check out Judy's blog for the other stash reports.

I sorta finished a UFO from 2003 this past week. I took a photo today and realized that I pieced one of the boarders wrong. So this week I will be taking it off and fixing it. I will also be able to bust a few yards piecing the back this week. It wont be quilted for awhile but it will be ready when it is time.

I am on my way to my goal of 78 yards Busted For The Year. So I have a ways to go.

My bust isn't anything impressive. I gave some fabric to my friend Jennifer, 14 scrap blocks were made and I got borders on my Charm Square Quilt. I did buy a yard for that but it is already cut and half on my quilt. So not counting it in or out.

Design Wall Monday

FINALLY!!!! I am back into the positive. This week I pieced a quilt back and cut a twin size top. ALL from my stash. The one quilt I need to finish quilting the borders and I am about half way of the twin top.

Doing the stash busting the last 2 years I have learned what colors I don't need to buy because I don't use them. I have learned what colors I use most. And you can never go wrong buying tone on tones.

Okay I didn't bust as much as I wanted too. I did get 2 tops finished. I am hoping to quilt at least one of them this week. Which will bust more yardage. My current goal is to be in the positive by Labor Day. I should be able to do it.

I was also able to be totally caught up on Freckled Whimsy's Charm Pack Quilt Along. I am now waiting for the next step. I am ahead on my block a day project. I have 31 blocks made. I am not making a dent in my scraps. I am thinking it will be more than 42 blocks.

I was doing REALLY good until Saturday. Then I bought the 5 yards. I did get both pieces of fabric on sale, so that helps. I bought 3.5 yards of Tarragon Kona for Freckled Whimsy's Charm Pack Quilt Along. I also bought 3 charm packs but I don't count them in or out. Plus I start 2 weeks behind and I am almost caught up! The charm packs I got are Moda's Basic Grey Origins, it is VERY funky! The other 1.5 yards is a batik for a border on Hole In My Role. I have the strips but I need a bigger quilt.

My goal for this next week is to be at only -2 yards. Wish me luck!

Design Wall Monday

So this WAS on my design wall this morning. I had the pink border on and the 2 blue side borders ready to sew on. I finished it today and photo'd it in the front yard.

This is Judy Sisneros new class Batik Blast. I got into the class Thursday night, the supply list on Friday afternoon and took the class Saturday morning. When I started pulling the fabric from my stash I didn't know it was supposed to be Batiks. I didn't want to buy fabric so I went with what I had.

The good news is that I am still working on my gym bag, yoga bag and shoe bag for my Pole Fitness class that starts Wednesday night. I also was able to take Batik Blast by Judy Sisneros this last Saturday. I still need to cut 2 sets of borders for my quilt top. I am also ahead on my block a day project. I will be able to make the 75 mark this week. I am hoping to be in the positive with in 2 weeks.

I have made a few things in the last few weeks. I was able to make a Boston Red Sox quilt for a friend and 3 other pillow cases.

This week I am working on Binding the last Cherry Quilt and then making a few bags for the fitness class I am starting in a week and a half. I want a bag for my shoes, clothes and yoga mat. Making all of that I should be able to bust 4 yards of fabric. Also I started my own block a day project out of my scraps. It only bust about 1/4 yard a week but I am reducing my scraps!

I keep getting closer to ZERO!!! I signed up for a signature block swap this last week. That used almost 2 yards. I also finished the top to the Baby At The Bordello quilt and sandwiched it with flannel from my stash. I am very excited that I was able to work on an UFO.

This next week will be slower. I am quilting for a client so I wont bust much.

Design Wall Monday

I know I don't usually post for Design Wall Monday but today I am in. Yes this is my design wall. No this isn't one quilt, it is four quilts. This is sorta what I am currently working on.

1. Center top- Lime Zinger, my selvage edge quilt

2. food blocks- Dinner With Scott, these are the "A" blocks for a twin to ship to Scott in Iraq

3. Green, blue, purple on right- That is what is left to sew of Baby At The Bordello.

4. Tree Blocks- That is the start to 3 Quilts (2 baby and a lap) for a wonderful client.

I am hoping to have the tops to the 2 baby quilts for the client done this week.

This week I started a bag, not finished. I made a clutch purse, WAY CUTE!!! Start the Dinner With Scott Quilt. I got all the "A" blocks done. I am hoping to make the "B" blocks next week.

Today I am having to put my sewing aside to work on 3 quilts for a client. I am hoping to have 2 of the tops done this next week.

Okay I think I am doing this backwards. This does not count my yardage from the quilt show, I bought that on Sunday so it will count next week. I did stumble into the middle of a shop hop in San Carlos this last week. We hopped through 6 stores on our way home.

So I ended up buying .5 yards of purple Kona for Twiddletails Pinwheel Quilt Along. I did have everything else in my stash! Because of only making one block at a time I will not be able to count my Out Yardage until I am finished. I also bought 1.5 yards of orange Kona for my Spiderweb quilt. I also purchase .5 yards of a green hand dyed at the quilt show.

The only things I got done are my 10 blocks for Block Lotto and I cut some squares for the demos at the quilt show.

I am hoping to be more productive this week. I am going to bust 5 yards!

A side note Scott goes back to Iraq on Wednesday.

I went to Reno. I knew I was going to shop. I actually went to Windy Moon twice, and hit Going Batty once. Since I was looking for a piece of fabric and the Auburn shop is right off of 80 we stopped their too.

The good news is I finished 3 quilts (they needed binding) while we were in Reno and I made a set of pillowcases of me! I bought Corvette fabric at Windy Moon and went back to the timeshare to make pillowcases before we went to dinner.

This next weekend is our guild quilt show so I am thinking I might buy fabric again this weekend. My goal for this next week is 3 yards of fabric.

This is now 3 weeks running without buying fabric! I am trying for one more week. Then I am headed to Reno and I will be buying fabric.

This weeks goal is 10 yards! I know it sounds like a lot but I am cutting a top to take with me to work on in Reno. I am also hoping to sew binding to the front of 3 quilts to take with me too. Since I will be stuck in a truck for 3 hours each way this will give me something to do.

This week was a slow week. I didn't even have my machine on the last 2 days. I have started making the party favor bags for Delaney's birthday party. I am only counting the lining as busted yardage. If you remember back I purchase all the fabric for her party but didn't count it "In" since it was going to be used for the party. I will count what is left over as "In" yardage in March. I have also started a Spider Web quilt out of my black and white scraps, with orange kites. I have made 1 of 30 blocks.

This next week I have a few donations that need made. I also need to get 7 more party favor bags done, I am trying for 1 a day. I have a Valentine's day wall hanging to finish up and a gift to be made by Wednesday. Maybe even bind the Halloween Quilt.

I got the first of my Halloween quilts done. Which is the bulk of my yardage. I even quilted it myself. Nothing fancy just some meandering. All that is left is trimming it up and binding. I also worked on February's Block Lotto, I wont be able to post those until after the first. And the last thing I worked on is a baby gift. I will be finishing that up this week too. The only thing I can say is I stocked up on Kona this week because it was on sale for $2.99 a yard. I ended up with a bolt of White and a bolt of Snow. Plus I ended up buying a fat quarter bundle for a quilt along that is starting next month. I bought Stone Flora & Fauna.

I did get the place mats made. I and still working on the Garden Party Birthday dress. I will finish it today. Delaney changed her mind on the dress 3 times this week. Friday night after i finished the dress she decided she wanted the apron too.

This week I WILL finish Calendar Men and use 3 yards of fabric.

This weeks list got ditched. Not that I didn't want to do it BUT I had other things pop up Sunday and Monday that I decided were more important to sew. I did get the row of Block Lotto blocks done, nothing else on the list though.

So now you're wondering what was more important than the all mighty list. Well Sunday night I found out about an Eagle Scout project that is getting pillow cases together for ConnKerr Cancer. So I was able to cut 5 from my stash and Ladybug Quilts donated 5 kits for me, so I made 10 pillow cases for him. Then I figured I had 2 of my own I needed to make so I did those too. On Monday I asked my friends to help me with some sampler quilt blocks for a project and I made 2 myself. That takes us to Tuesday when I found out that I group I belong to was asked to donate a quilt to be auctioned off for Breast Cancer , again I made 2 pink blocks. Wednesday I realized I had one day left to make my block for this months contest at 3 Creative Studio's. See how the list got ditched?

As for the purchase I bought more Halloween. It is on sale 60% off at JoAnn's right now, You may remember last fall when I did the Halloween swap. I have enough blocks that I am going to make 4 quilts. I need stuff to go with the blocks.

Anyone else noticing I am starting off by going in the wrong direction? Or is it just me?

The good news is I did sew this week. I actually finished quilting the Calendar Men Quilt UFO. I made the binding for it. I just need to finish off the threads on the back and sew on the binding. This will be my first finish for the New Year. My goal is by mid week to have it done.

I also need to make Double D (Delaney and Daphne) dresses for D-1's birthday. I have TONS of fabric for their dresses and I am making Poochie Bags and monogramming them for each kid as the party favors. Of course they will be filled with stuff too. Bad news is none of this yardage will count. Since I didn't know how much I would need I didn't count it as an "in" so I wont count it as an "out." I will count "in" what is left over after the party.
